Today is St Patrick's Day, to celebrate this day I have decided to make a Triphala and Chlorella Smoothie Bowl.
Triphala means “three fruits”. Triphala is a traditional Ayurvedic herbal formulation consisting of three fruits native to the Indian subcontinent, Amalaki (Emblica officinalis), Bibhitaki (Terminalia belerica) and Haritaki (Terminalia chebula). The benefits of this medicine are assisting natural internal cleansing, gently maintaining regularity, nourishing and rejuvenating the tissues, supporting healthy digestion and absorption and natural antioxidant.
Chlorella, it is a freshwater algae with a host of benefits. Chlorella is a source of Chlorophyll, Protein, Iron, Magnesium, and amino acids, but it is primarily known as a detoxifying supplement. Its tiny size and unique properties make it able to bind to heavy metals and unwanted chemicals in the body.
